William Wall is a novelist, poet, and short story writer. He grew up in the village of Whitegate in Co. Cork and he holds a degree in English and Philosophy from UCC. His novels include Alice Falling (2000) and This is the Country (2005). His most recent publication is a collection of short stories entitled Hearing Voices / Seeing Things (2016). He was one of the Irish delegates at the European Writers’ Conference in Istanbul in 2010. He has won several awards including the The Patrick Kavanagh and Sean O’Faoláin Awards, and the Raymond Carver Prize.
