Her writing first reached the public via her blog, Arse End of Ireland, which was noted for the mix of exuberance and cynicism with which it chronicled life in modern Ireland. Her short stories have been published in The Stinging Fly and the anthology The Long Gaze Back (2015). Her first novel, The Glorious Heresies (2015) was announced as the winner of the Bailey’s Women’s Prize for Fiction in June 2016
